Attested Copies of Revenue Record are obtained from Addl. Deputy Commissioner Office through the following Procedure.
PROCEDURE TO OBTAIN ATTESTED COPIES OF REVENUE RECORD
- “Record” means and includes any portion of a record and any document, map, plan or other paper attached to, or forming part of the record of a suit, appeal, enquiry, trail or other proceeding in any civil, criminal or revenue court or office.
- “Copying Agency” means the branch in the office of a Deputy Commissioner, Sub Divisional Officer or a Tehsildar, meant for the supply of copies of record to the litigant public.
- PREPARATION OF COPIES BY COPYISTS
The copies of record applied shall be prepared by a clerk or clerks known as copyists, specially appointed for the purpose.
- Supply of copies on forms:
Copies of record which are kept in tabular form shall be supplied on the forms used in government offices.
Rule No. 1.8: An application for a copy or copies may be made personally or through an agent authorized to the act for the person who is entitled to it.
Rule No. 1.30: Verification of delay in preparation of copy: Every copy is ordinarily expected to be ready by the third working day, but an urgent copy shall be ready by the second working day after the filing of the application.
2. 23. Rule describes after the copy has been made and before it has been revised and attested, the following particulars shall be endorsed.
1. The number of the application in register C.D2.
2. The date of presentation of the application for a copy.
3. The number of words or pages.
4. Fee due:
1. Copying fees, Rs 2 ticket
2. Urgent fees, Rs 2 + 1 ticket
3. Search fees, Rs 2 ticket
3.37 Scale of fees. Every copy of a record supplied at a uniform flat rate of Rs. 31. Applications for “Urgent” copies shall pay an extra fee of one rupee in court fee stamp.
5. Name of copyist.
6. Date on which was completed by the copyist.
7. The cause of delay, if the copy has been completed after the third day from the date of application.
Rule No. 3.24: A copy shall not by delivered to any person until it has been examined, certified, stamped and paged.
Rule No. 1.5: For all such copying agencies Officers In-Charge shall be appointed by the Deputy Commissioners.
The officer In-Charge shall be responsible on behalf of the Deputy Commissioner for the correctness of account and orderly conduct of business.
